You may have noticed that there are 2 new flags at the bottom of the page. These flags signify different languages clipta is available in. We are releasing them in a test status so everybody can enjoy them. Please let us know if anyone sees some words translated wrong or any other issues for that matter.
How many of you may have noticed the search on Clipta.com is a bit different from the ones on other video sites? Its database is not limited to Clipta.com only, it provides search results gathered from other websites on the net, giving you premium results. CliptaSearch (www.cliptasearch.com) can be accessed by typing the address or trough the links on Clipta.com. This website provides just the search without any other objects typically found on video sharing websites as well as a different display of results. We hope it will be ready soon after the language versions will be released. Cliptasearch will provide viable alternative for all those search engines out there that either take forever to load a page full of clips or it takes forever to find the exact thing you were searching for. Another nice feature will be the ability to watch a clip without having to go to the website, this saves you load time, as well as keeping your interface as simple as possible, making navigation smooth and easy.
As i said in the previous post we are getting ready to launch Clipta.ru, but at the same time we are preparing to launch a Romanian version too. Like the Russian version, Clipta.ro it’s running already as well, but there are still some tests to be done. After the tests will end, if it all goes well, we’ll make an official release of both versions.
Russian is the 8th spoken language (source) in the world. We have decided to make a Russian version so people that don’t speak or understand English, but do understand Russian will be able to enjoy Clipta’s advantages as well.
We focused on trying to fix some of its functional issues, like freezing for a bit although the clip is already buffered. Unfortunately none of our attempts had any results due to the way it was originally made. Because of this we decided to replace it with a completely new one, which should be ready soon
We have installed the encoder i was talking about, a few days ago. The Real Media formats (rm,rmvb) still remain an issue but we’re confident we’ll find a fix for that too. All, except the issue mentioned before, seem to work fine and the quality is much better now. All the video formats should be work, but if you run into any problems please don’t hesitate to let us know trough our forums or trough our contact email.
