Rocking out at Clitpa Video Search Meetup

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Last night’s  Clipta Video Search Meetup was a great success thanks to all the guests and panelists who made it out!

Despite the terrible traffic conditions due to the Bay Bridge closing, Club Mighty was filled with a community of entrepreneurs, video enthusiasts and industry leaders – including CEO of Sports Business Simulations and Bay Area Vlogger, Zenophon Abraham , and Cuil’s VP of Biz Dev. Seval Oz Ozveren. While our President, Serge Doubinski, and I demonstrated Clipta’s services, the crowd enjoyed free drinks, and shortly after listened to guest speakers Justin Kan (justin.tv), Tobias Peggs (OneRiot), Jamie Davidson (YouTube Search), and our very own Lenny Doubinski, share their insights about the future online video.

We finished the night with a Clipta Raffle, where 5 lucky winners went home with either an iPod Nano, iTouch, iFlip Ultra, or gift basket from Blue Angle Vodka (congrats!!).

We were excited not only to have an engaged audience at Club Mighty, but we hit over 3,300 views from people tuned in last night @ http://justin.tv/CliptaMeetup!

Julie Blaustein took some excellent photos of the event – see the full photo album here. The photos will also be available on our Facebook Page. Here are a few samples of her pics:

Clipta available in five new languages, totaling 17 localized platforms worldwide

Monday, September 7th, 2009

After receiving feedback from our loyal users around the world, Clipta has released five new localized video search portals, making Clipta one of the most comprehensive online video indexes worldwide. The new language versions are in Italian, Hebrew, Arabic, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

In our efforts to showcase the breadth of content that is available in our search engine, and to deliver the most relevant results to each country’s Clipta users, Clipta has developed localized ranking algorithms and personalized site design. For example, a search on Clipta’s Turkish portal, http://tr.clipta.com, will most likely deliver Turkish language videos from Turkish providers like Izlesene, Mynet Eksenim, or Hurriet Video. In addition to having access to a complete video library that includes content from leading local providers, users can now upload videos in those particular languages to Clipta Community.
